Today its my turn to post on the blog round for Clara’s Secret Garden, Little Duck Pond Café by Rosie Green. Thanks to Rachel’s Random Resources and Rosie Green for my place on the tour and the ARC to join in.
When Clara Bowes transforms a wilderness of a garden, she isn’t expecting to reconnect with someone special from her past at the same time. Having Rory Angel in her life again is a dream come true. But life is never straight forward – especially in matters of the heart – and soon, a devastating revelation looks set to bring Clara’s hopes for the future crashing down around her. Will she find the strength to reach for her dreams?

Clara’s Secret Garden is the 23rd instalment in Rosie Green’s Duck Pond Café series. I have only had the pleasure of reading one other of the series and I adores that one.so I jumped at the chance to read another.
From the oh so lovely cover to the synopsis that made me want more. I couldn’t wait to dive into this book! The first in a trilogy that fits into the series which is centred around Clara Bowles and her family. I was hoping I would enjoy this as much as the other book I read.
Rosie Green has again created a captivating character in Clara. While her gran is in hospital she is having a go at making something of her garden…even though she isn’t a gardener at heart, she will try. Her crush from school, Rory offers his help to get the garden in shape, but will he actually notice her? She is also a girl who chose to pick up the maternal mantle and protect her little half brother, instead of getting on with her life.
I wanted to know everything about Clara and everyone around her. She instantly tugged at my heart. Her strength in looking after her little brother and sacrificing her own life just made me want to hug her. Rosie Green has done this to me both times I have read her books now and it made the books for me.
Every book can be read as a standalone but I am going to read all three of these just because I need to know how Clara’s story goes. I am so hoping she gets the life she deserves too. This was a one sitting read. I was at the end of the book in no time and I missed every character after I had closed the book.
