Mark Tilbury – The Liar’s Promise

I am delighted to be on The Liar’s Promise blog tour by Mark Tilbury. Thanks to Red Dragon Publishing and Mark Tilbury for my invitation.

How does a mother protect her child from the unknown?

During a visit to a local theatre, four-year-old Chloe Hollis becomes hysterical. But her mother, Mel, doesn’t realise that this is just the beginning of the nightmare. In the coming weeks, Chloe talks of The Tall Man – Of death.

At her wits end, Mel confides in Charles Honeywell, the headmaster at the school where she works. But what Kim doesn’t know is that Charles is linked to what is happening to her daughter.

Will Mel learn the terrible truth? And can she overcome her own tragic past and save her daughter before it’s too late?

The Liar’s Promise is a story of past lives and future torment.

‘The Liar’s Promise’ by Mark Tilbury begins the way it means to go on! With a bang!! Mark Tilbury is an author that never gets boring. No matter how many books he writes he can always grab your attention, well, he can mine anyway.

The story starts with an everyday family, doing the normal stuff families do that is, until the day Mel takes her daughter Chloe on a trip to the theatre. That trip changes everything for them. I won’t go into detail only to say that Mark has not got the name ‘Twisted Tilbury’ for nothing!

A crime thriller crossed over with the supernatural genre, this book will most definitely keep you up in the night reading. The characterisation in The Liar’s Promise is as excellent as always, I truly felt for Mel, as a mother, my heart went out to her. A dark, compelling and gripping read that had me in the palm of its hand immediately. I think Mark’s work is second to none and I would highly recommend anyone to try one of his books…then see if they can hold themselves back from reading his full catalogue!
