What an escapist read this is! I adores reading about the island of Capri, and the characters on it. Stella and Fern have been friends almost forever. This year, due to Stella’s spot of luck on the lottery, they are all holidaying together on Capri.
What a gorgeous island they took me too. Full of fun and such an idyllic place for them. What Stella isn’t aware of is Fern has a secret that may threaten their friendship, or will it?
The untold truths and frustration, simmer underneath this glamorous holiday and it creates a chance to make life changing decisions. This book took me by surprise, I was whisked away so completely to Capri and I found it a captivating read. The women all had their own personalities with such relatable flaws that they could have been people I had really met. The issues that surfaced as the story developed kept me turning the pages. I needed to know what would be next for them all.
The last time I read a Kate Frost book I was whisked away to Greece, this time, Capri. Again I was enamoured by these characters and their lives in this beautiful place. This author seems to write the most amazing escapist summer reads, with friendships, love, discovering the real you and finding your happy place in life. A perfect book to read in these hot days we are having right now.
