Victoria Connelly – The Colour Of Summer @rararesources @VictoriaDarcy #TheColourOfSummer #TheHouseInTheClouds #SharonBTB

Today I’m thrilled to be closing the tout for The Colour of Summer by Victoria Connelly. Thanks to Rachel’s Random Resources for my invite and Victoria Connelly for the copy of the book.

How long can you hide your past from the one you love?

When Abigail and Edward became co-owners of historic Winfield Hall in the beautiful Sussex countryside, they had little idea what the future held. But, as the days of summer lengthen, their feelings towards one another grow and love begins to blossom.

Harry and Aura have been a couple for a year now and, with the summer solstice approaching, Harry hatches a very special plan. He just hopes that the sun, moon and the stars are all in alignment.

But not everything is going to plan. Life has a way of catching up with you and it isn’t long before Abi discovers that Edward’s been lying about his past, and the family secrets he’s been hiding now threaten their future happiness. Can Edward make amends for his mistakes and will Abi ever be able to forgive and trust him again?

Heartwarming and uplifting, The Colour of Summer is the final book in The House in the Clouds trilogy by bestselling author Victoria Connelly.

This final book in the House in the Clouds trilogy takes us right back to the Sussex Downs and Winfield Hall. Abi, Edward, Aura and Harry are all still living there. There are two new additions to the house, Tim and Samantha. Apart from Samantha’s noise they are both settling in fine.

Winfield House is a location  that I really enjoy returning to. Its a beautiful place and Victoria Connelly brings it to life. She has done from the first book. I feel like I am returning to old friends when I pick up any of these books. I have read every one of them and I never get bored.

Harry and Aura’s relationship is now a year old and we see them dealing with family problems in the past to move forward into the future as a couple. Then there is Abi and Edward, a secret he isn’t willing to tell Abi, means that things don’t look to be working out for them. I have followed these residents of Winfield House from Book one and I have been invested in them too.

Colours of Summer is a perfect book to end this trilogy. The setting of Sussex is gorgeous and Victoria Connelly has ‘painted’ such a vivid picture to make me feel like I was there every time I picked up any of the books. Her standard hasn’t dropped at all since she wrote the first book.

The characters, whether main ones or the side ones are all well written. Every character has their own unique part to play, Oscar, Edwards brother is back in this instalment too. He is a bit crazy to say the least. I will miss these characters and Winfield House too.

This is a fabulous, touching and romantic series. A series that’s well worth beginning from the first book. It’s the best time to dive into these as all the books are published so you don’t have to wait, you can just plough through every book without waiting. I do highly recommend this series.
