CP Ward – Autumn In Sycamore Park @rararesources #CPWard #AutumnInSycamorePark #SharonBTB

I’m thrilled to say I have a spot on the blog tour for Autumn In Sycamore Park by CP Ward. Thanks to Rachel’s Random Resources for my invitation and CP Ward for the copy of the book.

The first in a new romantic comedy series from CP Ward, author of Christmas at Marshmallow Café and Summer at Blue Sands Cove.

Having fled a relationship and a previous life she would rather forget, young teacher Jennifer Stevens throws herself into a demanding new job at Brentwell Primary. Charged with marshalling a group of unruly eight-year-olds to the autumn harvest festival, her only solace is the peace of nearby Sycamore Park.

As the evenings draw in and the leaves begin to fall, will new friends, delicious autumn treats, and a possible new man on the orange-tinted horizon help Jennifer finally come to terms with her past and begin to look forward into the future?

Autumn at Sycamore Park is another delightful romantic comedy from CP Ward, author of several popular seasonally themed novels. Set against a backdrop of warm autumn days, it offers everything fans of CP Ward’s other books have come to love: laughter, friendship, good times, and a hint of newly discovered love.

Book one of the Warm Days of Autumn series, Autumn in Sycamore Park is a feel good, entertaining read. Our main character is Jennifer. She has just moved to the area so I enjoyed learning all about Sycamore Park with her. I loved it, I wished I really was there.

A well written rom com that is brought to life so well. The characters are well fleshed out and relatable too. Jennifer definitely made me warm to her straight away and I silently cheered her on. She luckily made friends quite quickly which is always a plus I think.

The children are school did make cute additions to the story too. We get to know them and the homes they come from. Jennifer shows how much of a caring teacher she is, as she gets to know them and their backgrounds too. I love this in a person. Some teachers are just a ‘jobsworth’ and I felt Jennifer reminded me of a teacher I had many moons ago.

The school setting brought some fun too. Quite a few times it brought a smile to my face or a little chuckle. There is nothing better than a fun story that even has a slow-burn romance as the story unfolds. As the developers threaten to take over  Sycamore Park, Jennifer joins everyone to save it. I was definitely by her side in this and keeping my fingers crossed they would win the fight.

In conclusion this is a rom com that is full of heart, friendships, love and fresh starts. I will be looking out for CP Wards books in the future, for sure.
