Today, I again start with an apology. I am late for my review on the tour for Finding Love on Sunshine Island by Georgina Troy. Thanks to Rachel’s Random Resources and Boldwood Books for my copy of the book to take part.

Welcome to the Sunshine Island – where the beaches are golden, the lifestyle is perfect and anything is possible.
Piper Le Brocq is happily single after the disastrous ending of her engagement eighteen months before. The only man in her life is Jax, her best friend and cousin, who spends his life teaching locals how to forage and taking tourists on boat trips around the island. Her days are filled with helping out at her mother’s guest house and selling her glass mosaics at The Cabbage Patch emporium in Trinity.
Piper loves living on the Sunshine Island, where the neighbours look out for each other and visitors are welcome. So, when handsome guest Alex Cooper arrives at the guest house to check up on his grandfather, she welcomes him to the sunny island. And when he needs help after his grandfather is injured, she’s quick to get involved.
Yet, the more she gets to know Alex the more mysterious he seems, and Alex isn’t the only one keeping secrets from her.

This is the first book of a brand new series. Georgia Troy is also a new author for me. I do love having the opportunity to discover new authors, it has widened my reading experience so much more. Finding Love on Sunshine Island is a book that transported me to a sunsoaked gorgeous place, even if it was just through a book.
We meet Piper, enjoying life after having a disastrous end to her relationship over a year ago. She is happy helping her mother in the guest house and selling her glass mosaics. When a new guest arrives on the island, Alex Cooper, there to spend time with his grandfather. Piper gets to know him and begins to think they could be good friends. She is not prepared to be hurt again and never let’s anyone too close, but as time goes on, she realises he is getting under her skin. Could Piper allow herself to let him in or is she too damaged from her past?
Such a lovely summer read. This is a sweet romance story that starts as soon as you see the cover to this book. It brings summer vibes straight away. I was looking forward to joining Piper in her island life.
Georgia Troy’s characters Piper and Alex where two people who I warmed to immediately. Piper is an independant women but has such a close relationship with her family. I loved this. She is also a woman who has her own business, such confidence to do this. scratch under the surface and she is scarred from her past, her confidence at a low. She doesn’t trust her own ability to know her own heart and mind. I loved this woman!
Alex is a nice and caring man,and it shows, Georgia Troy has created really well fleshed out characters. He may be the one to break down Pipers barriers but he is holding something back, keeping his secrets. Can Piper and Alex sort themselves out?
This is a series that I feel I am going to enjoy returning to time and time again, if Georgina Troy keeps writing the books, off course! A relaxed easy read that wraps you in sunshine, love and great characters. An author I am glad to have found!
