Joseph Mitcham – Hitting Home @MitchamJoseph #Hitting Home #SharonBTB

I’m so happy to say I have Hitting Home by Joseph Mitchamon my blog today. It is the third book in the Atrocities series. A massive thanks to Joseph himself for inviting me to close this tour today.

As the dust begins to settle after the Belton Tunnel explosion, the composite team of Security Service agents, Police and Army veterans need to use their imagination to find new ways of tracking down the ‘Interest Group’, the mysterious and elusive terror group responsible.
Things hot up as the recruitment of a new wave of activists is detected and the relentless atrocities seem to strike ever closer to home. An emerging cell draws the team to Sunderland, but can they contain them and find links into their organisation, all without being compromised?

This is a series that I started reading with the second book, Where Is Tony Blunt? They can be all be read as stand alone’s as I discovered myself. These are hard hitting military style action thrillers, and Joseph Mitcham always brings an action filled tense story.

Hitting Home is as fast paced as Where is Tony Blunt? I was again, on the edge of my seat as I once again joined this ex-military team on their mission. This is a far more dangerous one than before and too close for comfort. One that brings a darker story that has the possibility to turn stomachs. Joseph Mitcham has created a gritty and raw story that made me feel like begging the team so get it all sorted as soon as they could.

The amount of specialist military knowledge is truly mindblowing throughout the series. For me, it shows that Joseph Mitcham is definitely writing what he knows. It makes for a truly immersive experience. The characters are well drawn and so compelling. Between the action and the characters, I couldn’t put this book down at all.

I said in my last review for Joseph Mitcham’s work that the book was an adrenaline inducing read. Well, Hitting Home is even more adrenaline inducing, with the darkness of the story and the grittiness too. I thoroughly loved returning to this series and was as gripped as I could be. If you love your fiction with an edge of realism, I highly recommend this book, in fact I recommend the full series!

Author Bio

Joseph Mitcham

Joseph Mitcham served with the British military, in elite and technical units, for over 16 years. His service not only gave him a thorough tactical and technical understanding of some of the techniques and processes employed in his stories, but it also provided him with the opportunity to develop himself, earning a first-class honours degree in business leadership.

The inspiration for embarking on his Atrocities series’ came from personal experiences from the roles that he has served in, and characteristics from some of the people that he has served with.
