It’s my turn on the It Started With A Kiss blog tour. Thanks to Rachel’s Random Resources and Boldwood Books for my copy of the book.

Can two strangers dreams lead to their destiny?
American Star Mendoza is living in her dream location, Edinburgh, a place she discovered in British novels while growing up.
Employed at a trendy city centre coffee shop, quirky, pink-haired Star spends her days fantasising about a handsome businessman she serves daily.
He’s totally out of her league but a girl can dream, right?
Fin Hunter is exhausted from striving for his father’s elusive love and approval, and of following a life path of his family’s making.
When things go drastically wrong Fin decides it’s time to stand on his own two feet and follow his own dream.
Star is bereft when her handsome stranger stops coming to her coffee shop, but a chance encounter in the most unlikely of places leaves her wondering if her fantasy could now become a reality?
Can opposites attract over their love of a city and music or is their story simply doomed to fail?

This book has the most amazing cover and that’s my first impression. The colours and the picture grabbed my attention so I wanted to read this. I haven’t read any book by Lisa Hobman before this but the blurb and cover just screamed read me.
I always love a light, sweet and easy read and this book fitted the bill. We meet American Star, she works in a coffee shop and keeps her hobby of photography a secret. Fin is Scottish and a lawyer, with a talent for singing. Two people who are pretty different and a setting that made me want to visit allowed me to escape with this book.
Both of these characters are really well written and so believable I was rooting for them all the way. The chemistry was there immediately. It doesn’t follow the usual boy meets girl love story, no. These two have much more to contend with, it’s a rough ride and we see the characters grow throughout the journey.
There are certain characters that aren’t made to be liked and the author has done a great job with them. They were made to hate on I’m sure. This is a book that took me through every emotion, Fin and Star have such a passionate story that you can’t help but fall in love with them and feel every emotion they go through.
I really do recommend this book to anyone who loves romance with some passion and tons of chemistry.
