The Knights Tempting Ally is the second book in the King’s Night series.I am lucky enough to have read the first book, so I was looking forward to reading this book.
As with the first book as soon as Istarted reading Ella Matthews writing transported me back to 1336. The amount of research the author has done is so clear. The reader is swept into this fictional world, which could easily be real.
The characters are again well drawn and fleshed out to make them real in the eye of the reader. This makes it even easier to become immersed in the medieval setting. Medea was a character I took to my heart, I immediately connected with this middle daughter who feels left out due to her bad relationship with her family. They hardly even notice her and that hurts.
Theo is the King’s knight and on a mission to find out who the traitor is who is plotting against his King, and he will do anything, even if he has to woo his targets middle daughter.
As he works on his plan to woo Medea, he doesn’t count on the chemistry between them as they grow closer. The sparks begin to fly as the danger comes closer and all too real.
Anyone who enjoys Mills & Boon and historical romance set in the medieval age will love this authentic novel that brings murder, betrayal and lies as well as a sweet unexpected romance too. Ella Matthews has excelled in bringing medieval England into my present day life and I loved it, again.
