Today I am proud to say I am opening the tour for Mollie Mack Private Detective by Linda Dobinson. Thanks to both Rachel’s Random Resources and the author for my delightful copy if the book to take part today.

She has been a private detective for six months, and FINALLY a BIG case has landed on her desk. If she solves it, it will make the papers and make her agency famous. She needs to give it her full attention; but she already has three cases she is working on. And when she gets an unexpected lead in her oldest case, she HAS to run with it.
A story of an almost twelve year old Mollie. She is almost like any other child of her own age except for the Detective business she runs alongside the usual school she attends. She finds herself with three cases to deal with, with one being quite an important one that could make her name at this young age. We follow Mollie and her friend (just a little extra help you know) as she investigates and keeps up with school and chores too!
A brilliant story for children, with Mollie and two cats, who aren’t just there for cuddling reasons. They are a bit more than that! I got through this in no time. The investigations are just how they should be, with a little extra for drama.
Reading Mollie Mack Private Detective took me back to my childhood years of The Famous Five. The escapism for a child reading this holds no boundaries, just as I found when I was a child. Linda Dobinson creates a wealth of well made characters to add depth to the story also. Mollie definitely has a good head on her shoulders and will have younger readers wishing they could be her.
A great book to escape your daily life with the innocence for a child but plenty of intrigue to keep the story moving forward. I will be saving my copy for my granddaughter to read when she is older, it’s a fabulous book!

Author Bio
Linda Dobinson was born in Croydon but grew up in Barbados – endless sunshine and never to far from the beach. She has worked in fashion, the motor industry, and been a PA.
In the 90s she picked up her pen and started writing poetry. Her work has appeared in poetry magazines, and for two successive years she had poems selected for the anthologies Southern England and South-West England. Her second collection Encounter reached the top of Amazon’s poetry charts. Since then she has started writing middle grade novels and has discovered that immersing herself in a plot is a great distraction from a pandemic.
