Today, It’s my turn on the Certain Truths by Stephanie Wyler blog tour for Overview Media. Massive thanks to Heather Fitt of Overview Media and the author for my copy of the book to give my unbiased thoughts today. First the blurb.

Jackson Berman’s career as a criminal defense attorney was exploding. He was widely reputed to be defender of the innocent and protector of the rights of the guilty. The rightly and wrongly accused wanted him in their corner. But his marriage was imploding. He would stop at nothing to remain in his young daughter’s life, even if it meant giving in to his estranged wife’s whims and demands.
While balancing the highs of his professional life with the lows of his personal life, he took on the most important and challenging client of his career: himself.
Annoying acts of vandalism quickly escalated to attempts on his life. Searching for the person who wanted him dead, he found himself accused of a horrific crime that could send him to prison for the rest of his life. Who would defend the defender?
Certain Truths is a compelling story of one man’s struggle to deal with exaggerations, distortions, and lies, and his search for the peace that comes with living with the truth…no matter how ugly it is.

Certain Truths is Stephanie Wylers debut thriller, and it is quite a debut! A legal thriller that has romance and family drama interwoven into the plot. It is set in Cincinnati with Jackson Bearman as the central character.
A criminal defence attorney whose marriage is floundering. As his marriage and life go from bad to worse, his career is soaring. A complex man who doesn’t want his daughter to suffer due to her parents’ issues. Things really come to a head when his wife, Catherine, makes a heinous accusation accusing Jackson. This makes his personal life shudder to a halt.
A well-written, intelligent thriller with a character that you need to know everything about. He is a bundle of contradictions, but one thing that can not be denied is his love for Olivia, his daughter. I enjoyed his relationship with Bailey, a stray cat he has rescued and given a home at his office.
A realistic and gripping thriller that is one of those ‘one more chapter’ books. Expect unexpected twists and turns while finding yourself on the edge of your seat at times also. Just because it’s a thriller, don’t be fooled that you won’t feel your heartstrings being tugged as this story unfolds; there are moments.
I think Certain Truths is a compelling, gripping, and a book that you can clearly tell the author has extensive experience in this area. I am excited to see what’s next for Stephanie Wyler as an author.
