Today, it’s my turn on the book tour for Unforgettable by R.E Loten. Thanks to Rachel’s Random Resources and the author for my copy of this book to take part today.
There are first loves and there are last loves. But what happens when they overlap?
Tom Blythe falls in love quickly. He fell for Olivia the first time they met. The same thing happens when he meets Grace. The problem is: Tom is still in love with Olivia.
Pulled in two different directions, Tom has a choice to make. He knows he’s unhappy, but is that enough for him to forget the vows he made? Both women have difficult pasts and Tom is desperate to help them, but at what cost?
Can he let Olivia go and commit his future to Grace? Or will the pull of the past prove too strong?

Unforgettable is a book that just flows so easily. It’s a perfect story for settling down with on a day like today, actually. R.E. Lotens characters are ones that I easily connected with. I enjoyed reading about them so much I didn’t want to stop reading.
This is a book about love and also falling in love. Full of characters that are believable, intriguing, and relatable at certain times. The author has done a great job of developing them. They all play a truly individual part within the story.
A story that is an emotional one as well as humorous. In fact, it covers a whole range of emotions as the story develops. I always enjoy and appreciate a story such as this: one minute, you’re happily reading along smiling or chuckling at something in the book. Next, you are trying hard to hold your tears back. R.E Loten has made it such an enjoyable and uncomplicated read that doesn’t get boring.

The pace of the book just fitted the storyline, too. Not too fast to feel rushed but also not slow enough to drag the story out. I appreciated that I was able to take my time and really feel what was happening. This is a lovely, cosy, romantic comedy that I am so glad I got to read.

Author Bio

A former teacher, Ruth’s first writing memory is for her writer’s badge in Brownies, but her MA in Creative Writing probably trumps that. One of the founders and editors of the digital literary and visual arts magazine, Makarelle, she has been published in various anthologies and is usually found in her study, mainlining coffee and frantically pinning editorial notes onto a noticeboard.
In November 2019, Ruth was appointed Writer In Residence at Brightlingsea Lido. Although she has written a number of books for children and teenagers, this is Ruth’s debut novel for adults.
