Today, I am on the tour for Hangman’s End for ZooLoo’s Book Tour on behalf of Question Mark Press. I would like to thank them both for my place on the tour and the gifted book in order for me to give you my own thoughts today.

Two bodies.
One bridge.
Twenty years apart.
The discovery of two bodies beneath London Bridge plunges DI Jack MacIntosh and his team at the Metropolitan Police into two of the most complex investigations they’ve ever had to deal with.
With two decades separating them, can the cases really be linked?
Having an intense dislike for coincidences, Jack can’t let it go.
And when evidence then emerges pointing to a 1989 cold case, Jack is transported back in time to a miscarriage of justice that has haunted him for quarter of a century – and back to a little girl he vowed never to forget.
As two cases turn into three, becoming more and more entwined, will the river finally give up its secrets?
Maybe.
Because sometimes the dead can speak.

The fifth book in the D.I Jack MacIntosh series. I have personally read every book and adore this series. If you are a latecomer or aren’t keen on a series. Every book could be read alone. I prefer to read a series in order as I just love continuity. The chance to delve into characters and know them through and through. This series gives me that, and more.
As I always find with a Michelle Kidd novel, as soon as you begin the first page, you are there. I think the series is just getting better as we go further into it. Her experience of law has always made the series as realistic as it can be.
Hangman’s End is a story that grabs you straight away and whisks you into the ensuing police investigation so easily. The characters feel like my friends by now! All superbly developed, I have seen these characters grow throughout the previous books, and like I said, they could be my friends, then you have the ones that aren’t so likeable, the author has made them just as she wanted, and it translates well.

With an investigation that follows multiple threads, one of which takes DI MacIntosh back to his younger days, we see a rather intense investigation. The pacing of the story is perfect and the author has placed the twists and turns just where they needed to be. I found it such a fantastic read, but then I have a soft spot for Jack MacIntosh and his team.
Definitely a book for me to recommend…in fact, I recommend the full series!

Thank you so much for taking part in the tour today x
