Tony Kent – No Way To Die

No Way to Die, is the fourth novel in the Dempsey/Devlin, and is set in the United States and features Agent Joe Dempsey of the International Security Bureau. I had the honour of being a part of Power Play, the third book in the series book tour and I so enjoyed it. I knew Tony Kent would have written another blistering action thriller with No Way To Die, and I was proved right.

Tony Kent

A deadly threat. A ghost from the past. And time is running out…

When traces of a radioactive material are found alongside a body in Key West, multiple federal agencies suddenly descend on the crime scene. This is not just an isolated murder: a domestic terrorist group is ready to bring the US government to its knees.

The threat hits close to home for Agent Joe Dempsey when he discovers a personal connection to the group. With his new team member, former Secret Service agent Eden Grace, Dempsey joins the race to track down the terrorists’ bomb before it’s too late. But when their mission falls apart, he is forced to turn to the most unlikely of allies: an old enemy he thought he had buried in his past.

Now, with time running out, they must find a way to work together to stop a madman from unleashing horrifying destruction across the country.

Every novel I have read by Tony Kent has been a superb story. I didn’t think that his writing could be improved upon, but No Way To Die has proved me wrong. An outstanding read that brings pulse-pounding action and characters you become heavily invested in.

A plot-driven thriller that doesn’t just depend on the action to drive the narrative forward. Tony Kent skillfully increases the suspense as the story unfolds. I found myself on a journey that was overflowing with tension, drama and adrenaline.

Tony Kent excels with his characters. I have already mentioned how much the characters have you investing in them. He not only gives us Dempsey, but he also creates other supporting characters that just put the icing on the cake. So well developed that I feel I can picture them and understand their behaviours.

One thing that is constant throughout his writing is that he is an author who keeps me on my toes. He takes the story to places you never expect which means the story never becomes boring. It’s always fresh and exciting, something I love in a book.

Tony Kent’s latest thriller has again bowled me over with the quality of his writing. I do think I am unable to do justice to No Way To Die with my review. I have just given you my humble opinion. Just read it and find out for yourself how good this book is!

Thanks to Anne Cater of Random Things Tours and Tony Kent for my copy of this blistering read.
