B.M. Dawes – Life According To Brian

‘Life According to Brian’ by B.M. Dawes is a book of forty-four stories. These stories showcase Brian’s mishaps and misadventures that are on a scale that is unparalleled by modern man! A book that had me in stitches with each bite-sized story I read.

B.M. Dawes

Each story is a different moment in his crazy life, they all successfully capture the lunacy of life and his luck in managing to avoid death. To be honest, the fact that these stories include such things as poaching, drugs, imprisonment, kidnappings… and the list goes on…and on. I really have no clue exactly HOW he survived. We even have God and Charles Darwin, playing these episodes out via a game of chess. They are attempting to plot Brian’s untimely death, the winner gets to choose how he dies. They are finding themselves interrupted way too much for their liking, they just want peace to play their game over a brew and a Mr Kipling cake.

This is a book that you can read so fast. The fact that the stories are short means you can pick it up and just have a top-up on comedy to get you through the mundane day you know you need to get through. I thought I had some bad luck in life, but I think Brian beats me easily.

Every individual story grabs your interest and if you have the time you can read 10 before you know it. Such an engaging book I just couldn’t stop smiling if I wasn’t laughing that is. Mishaps and escapades you just wouldn’t believe anyone could have so many, well with the happenings in my life I believe every one of these could have happened to one person, and to be honest, that made it a bit funnier for me.

A fabulous collection of crazy stories that conclude in a great way too. I am so happy I ended up on this Blog Tour, I very nearly missed out on a great read. This book will be recommended to all and sundry from me.

Thank you to Anne Cater for my invite to this tour and B.M. Dawes for living a life no one would ever believe and for my fabulous gifted copy of this marvellous book.
