‘Perfect Strangers’ by Araminta Hall is a dark twisty thriller that I have heard so much about. I was dying to read it so was highly honoured when I was invited on the blog tour. I was looking forward to starting this and when I did I was unable to put it down!

Three women, Nancy, Eleanor and Mary have all been friends since freshers at university. Their friendship has lasted throughout the years despite their differences in personalities. They have experienced everything together including resentment, jealousy, rivalry…everything you would think a trio of females would come up against. They all take their own career/life paths and manage to stay connected to one another.
One evening Nancy doesn’t return home and Eleanor goes to help Robert, Nancy’s husband. The police are called and Nancy is found murdered. Eleanor tells Robert that Nancy was having an affair and after their dinner together Nancy had gone to meet David, her lover. As the story unfolds we follow each of the women as we discover what happened to Nancy.
A fabulous observation of friendship and love between three imperfect women. The story is split into three with each section being dedicated to one woman. I was enthralled in learning about these three women. We follow their life journeys with their own challenges and everything else. We see their struggles as the story moves from past to present so smoothly it seems like it is meant to be. We are privy to how Nancy’s death affects the two women left, with their thoughts, feelings and eventually secrets are revealed.

Araminta Hall has created characters that shine through everything. Each being their own unique self with a part to play. She has spun a complex web of a story and written it perfectly and the depth of the characters has helped the book be an intriguing read that you really need to finish NOW!
Thanks to Orion Books for the copy of the book to give you my thoughts today.
