‘Forgive Me’ by Kateri Stanley is a debut novel in which she has blended various genres and brought us a new style of horror and suspense. I have to say this is a book published by Dark Stroke Books as well, so I could guarantee I would thoroughly enjoy it.

We meet investigative journalist Susan ‘stripe’ McLachlan. She is making a name for herself by bringing the hard-hitting truths that reflect the world around us. Issac Payne, an enigmatic entrepreneur contacts Stripe and requests her to do a feature on his new start-up venture.
Stripe takes the job all the while wondering why she is pulled towards this man. As she begins the mind-numbing job of his new venture things slowly begin to turn dark and very twisted, bringing Stripe back to her tortured past involving her father being a victim of a notorious serial killer Night Scrawler.

An intense horror/psychological thriller with a dash of fantasy and romance too. A fast-moving story that is told from multiple points of views which switch as fast as the plot! This is a book that kept me on my toes…never mind the edge of my seat. The timelines moved as well as the story unfolds. The characters were well rounded too. I won’t say too much as I am aware of spoilers and want anyone reading the book to have the full experience.

If you love a horror that’s a twisted horror with plenty to keep you reading try this! That’s all I can say.
Thanks to Rachel’s Random Resources and Kateri Stanley for my copy of the book.
