‘The Thames Path Killer’ by Biba Pearce is the first in the DCI Rob Miller crime thriller series. I love finding new authors and Biba seems to be a little gem of one.

We begin with a rape and murder of a young newly engaged woman along the river Thames and immediately it appears to be a personal vendetta. As the story unfolds there are more bodies and it seems more like a serial killer who is hunting just engaged or newlywed females.
DCI Rob Miller has his real first case and he throws himself into it so much his home life suffers. Yvette, his fiancee is trying to plan their wedding and not too happy with Rob working constantly. As Rob gets closer to the killer Yvette disappears. He knows he is in a race against time before the killer makes this case way too personal.
Fabulous new series! The story is told from Rob’s point of view and the killers also so we get to see things from the mindset of a crazed person. Rob is a great well fleshed out character and it will be good to see how he develops over a few books.

A thrilling and enthralling read that I read in a day! Everything you need in a crime thriller, a fast-paced and gritty book that kept me turning the pages until I had finished.
Thanks to Joffe Books for the copy of the book.
