‘Always and Forever Glendale Hall’ by Victoria Walters is an uplifting and charming read. This is the fourth book in the Glendale series but my first visit. Yes, I know. That’s a mistake on my part and after reading this I would love to go and read the previous three. I found I could easily get into the whole story without having the others ‘under my belt’ so to speak. It flowed well and I knew what was what easily enough. The only thing I personally missed was the depth of characters… but that’s personal to me.

We meet Anna who is at a loose end, with no home and no job in one fell swoop. Her brother Brodie knows the owner of Glendale Hall is needing a cleaner and immediately too! Job done, perfect for Anna. Then there is Cameron, back in Glendale and at Hilltop Farm. He had gone away to University but he is keeping a lot of guilt internally and some from events while he was at university.

Can these two pent up, guilt-laden and indecisive people actually help each other to drop the masks and barriers in beautiful Glendale?

Well, this is almost like an emotional rollercoaster of a hug in a book. One minute I was smiling and the next I could literally have cried. The characters are so real and the village itself… well it could actually be any village in the country. One where everyone knows everyone and when there is trouble everyone is willing to help. I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Glendale and its inhabitants. I hope to return for another chapter soon.
Big thanks to Rachel of Rachel’s Random Resources and Hera Books for the copy of the book.
