Niki Kamerzell – The Last Time She Died

‘The Last Time She Died’ by Niki Kamerzell is a dark, paranormal fantasy and one that sounded so different and weird I just needed to try it. It is published by DarkStroke also and every book I have read has always had me sat on edge while reading it. I was hoping this may do the same…well it did!

Niki Kamerzell

Everything changes for Alexia Harper the night she leaves late from her waitressing job. When voices threaten her through the radio, she wonders if she’s gone crazy. Then lightning explodes close by, and Alexia crashes. After this, every day and night are the same, almost like she is in a recurring nightmare. Almost like her subconscious is screaming at her.

Then she meets Leland. He works at her diner and it’s like they have spent several lifetimes getting to know each other. Now, the memory-like dreams make sense. She recognises people she doesn’t know—and they are giving her clues; answers she desperately needs to stop the thing that’s coming for her.
Coming for all of them. Again.
I picked this up and immediately I was with Alexia in the story. Everything about this book screamed creepy and fascinating too. I was hooked and couldn’t put it down until I knew what would happen next on more than two occasions.

I felt that the author’s writing flowed so well I was immersed I saw through the character’s eyes and felt their every emotion too. She has crafted her characters well as I could sense the confusion from every one of them too. This is a book that gave me goosebumps at times and I enjoyed every page.

Thanks to Rachel’s Random Resources and DarkStroke Books for the copy of this dark paranormal fantasy story.
