Now as a social worker to kids in the same system, she’s someone who understands … But Frankie is hiding an unthinkable secret: one that may have its roots in the murder of a young, beautiful woman fifteen years ago.

Right from the start of the book, we can tell that Frankie has secrets from the past that she doesn’t want anyone to know. The story unfolds and her past is slowly revealed as we see how it affects her present-day life.
The suspense was spine-tingling as the story revealed more and more of her past.

Elena Wilkes has spun a tale that keeps you glued to the book. The story is full of twists and blind alleys. Just as you think you have it Elena Wilkes throws a red herring in so you do an about-turn…and still never guess right. I read this as fast as I could as I was really wanting to find out if I could be at all right! Nope! I was running on adrenaline all through this book! The conclusion even managed to surprise me.

A fabulous read and highly recommended to anyone who loves a read packed with secrets, suspense and shocks.
