Michelle L.E. Price – Photographed In The Writer’s Room

‘Photographed In The Writer’s Room’ by Michelle L.E. Price is the second book in ‘The Writer’s Room’ series, although I read it as a stand-alone and it was completely fine.

A charming, romantic story featuring Brandi a former TV star who found her big-screen debut not quite the smash as it should have been. This was due to rumours of an affair with her married co-star. When she’s offered an opportunity to get out of town and work on a project involving the photographer that launched her career, it seems like the perfect escape! Unfortunately for Brandi, her famous face makes hiding out even in a huge city like Houston a little tricky. The photographer’s son, Michaels offers to let her use his house to gain some privacy so she feels that she seems to be getting somewhere in her quest to heal and just hide. As Brandi and Michael’s attraction grows it becomes harder to fight against.

Told from Brandi and Michael’s perspectives we see Brandi just needing to hide from everything and everyone while she brushes herself off and tries to recover from the scandal that was meant to be her debut. As the story unfolds Brandi gains a fabulous friendship with the Boozy Brunch Bunch, l loved this, just what she needed at the right time too. The chemistry between Brandi and Michael was there, even the texts they wrote to each other showed that.

The pace was quite slow but I liked it, I thought it suited the slow-burn of the romance between Brandi and Michael. Michelle L.E Price has skillfully wrote a book that incorporates witty and vibrant characters with a charm that keeps you totally engaged with the story.

Thanks to Rachels Random Resources and Michelle L.E Price for the copy of the book.
