Rich Amooi – Uncork My Love

‘Uncork My Love’ by Rich Amooi is a romantic comedy that had me chuckling and cheering the characters on at one point or another. I have only read one previous book from Rich Amooi but I enjoyed myself that much that I just had to jump on board this one too.

Rich Amooi

We meet Ivy, who needs a miracle and a drink… and she doesn’t really care what order they arrive in, as long as they do! She has a struggling winery and to keep the dream alive she needs to win the annual wine competition. The only issue is she needs the help of Ted Jacobs aka Mr Know-It-All.

Ted wants to create the world’s greatest wine and knows he can’t do it alone. He has to head to Napa to keep his Grandma out of prison and he meets Ivy. She is as complex and intoxicating as his award-winning wine but as stubborn as they come when she refuses a collaboration. Will Ted be able to mix business with pleasure and get Ivy to agree so they may both get what they want.

Rich Amooi has the skill of transporting me to wherever he is writing about. This time I was in a Winery and who doesn’t want that! His characters are all larger than life, lovable and with their own unique charm, did someone mention Grandma Loretta?? The main characters are always ones that I can get behind and love to be a part of their worlds. This time we see Ivy and Ted, along with their Grandmothers, they are a recipe for an explosion of humour. I do love a good book that can make me laugh in one breath and then ‘aww’ in another.

Rich Amooi had that skill in spades as I discovered and I find once I start a Rich Amooi book, I lose a few hours, I am so captivated by his storytelling.

Thanks to Rachel’s Random Resources and Rich Amooi for my copy of this delightful book.
