‘Seven Days’ by Michelle Kidd is the second book in a series that features DI Jack Macintosh. I was lucky enough to read and review the first book in the series also. I thoroughly enjoyed the first book and hoped Michelle Kidd could continue the series at the same level. Well, I am really happy to say, it is just as good, if not better.

In this book, we are taken to London during 2012. The tension is rising as the opening ceremony of the London Olympic Games looms closer with one week left DI Macintosh and his team at the Metropolitan Police find themselves on the hunt for a serial killer. One which seems to be choosing victims at random. Jack and the time are definitely against the clock, will they manage to find the perpetrator while Jack has other things on his mind too? Or not?
Another smashing story in which we get to learn a bit more about Jack and his back story. From the beginning of the first book, I have thought that he is very relatable and Michelle Kidd makes him even more so in this book.
Again another book that definitely keeps you reading and holds you throughout. The crime itself does make Jack and the teamwork as it is a puzzling one that gives that intrigue to the story. The amount of red herrings I fell for this time! Every time I thought I had it…I wasn’t right, so can’t blame the team either.

I really look forward to reading this series as Michelle has a way about her writing that pulls you in and it just flows from beginning to end. Another book that made time fly for me! So enjoy a great book!

Thanks to Damp Pebbles Blog Tours and Michelle Kidd, again, for my copy of this brilliant book.
