Lily Hayden – Bad Blood

‘Bad Blood’ by Lily Hayden is a psychological thriller with plenty of twists and turns as you would expect. I have read Lily’s previous book so knew I would enjoy this one before I even started it…and I definitely did!

Lily Hayden

Four siblings. Tim, Rose, Will and Beth all had a lovely childhood living on Bluebell Farm, until their mum passed away. Sixteen years later they haven’t seen each other at all and have become almost strangers to each other. Then they all receive invitations from their dad Frank, who they haven’t seen either. This allows them to try to sort everything out and maybe begin again. Frank is found dead on the morning of his wedding and all four siblings are suspects and the bad blood bubbles back to the surface.

Lily Hayden has woven a clever story of families and the complicated relationships they involve. I felt for all four when they found themselves in that situation. They have all returned with intentions to heal and find their dad marrying a woman of unknown qualities, Linda who they are all certainly suspicious of. Then their dad dies rather out of the blue and they are all in the frame then we see the siblings bond together again but how well does it stand?

A story of blood and family. The people we can try to leave behind but can never fully break away from, no matter how hard we try.

Thanks to Rachel’s Random Resources and Lily Hayden for the copy of the book for my review today.
