If you are a person who definitely thinks variety is the spice of life, ‘Trust Me’ by Candace Hutton is very definitely a novella for you. A steamy romantic suspense story that I had finished before I knew it.
A couple, Brooke and Garrett, had been married a year when Brooke broaches the idea of a prenup. Garrett’s response is to file for divorce! They both have their reasons for their actions but aren’t willing to tell each other, so divorced they get. Brooke, while doing her best to try to get him out of her system, finds her life in danger. Garrett will not allow anyone he loves get hurt in any way and will do anything to save her even if he has to give his secrets away to do it.
A novella that is about secrets and what damage they can wreak if allowed, and second chances too. Both Brooke and Garrett struggle to trust for very different reasons. When Brooke is in danger the intrigue is a great addition to this sexy story and notches up the pace a little as well.
If you prefer a shorter read with intriguing characters and a plot that is about family secrets and second chances, maybe give this Candace Hutton book a try, I enjoyed it!
