Alys Murray- Home At Summer’s End

‘Home At Summers End’ by Alys Murray is the concluding book in the Magnolia Sisters series, which has been a delight to read. Each book has been a gorgeous love story.

Alys Murray

This book focuses on the eldest sister Rose, the one who always dreams of being swept off her feet by true love but has never had it. We see her now feeling the odd one out as she has no-one by her side.

Then there is Cole the actor who is aiming for stardom. He has just been unceremoniously dumped and feels upon reading the umpteenth script rewrite that the movie will end his career not skyrocket it. Rose comes up with a cunning plan to fool the town (and her family), along with helping Cole with his lines and make his ex jealous. The biggest issue comes when the lines begin to blur for them both, then Cole has a secret that could either break or make their ‘business arrangement for good.

I always look forward to an Alys Murray book and this was no different. I picked up the book and was back there with Rose and her family. It was almost like I had never been away. I really enjoy the sisters and their characters. I always find an Alys Murray book a really easy, light-hearted read. Every book has been a lovely sweet romance which takes me out of whatever is going on for me at that time. I loved Rose’s plan and even had a little giggle at her subterfuge. Her determination to not be set up with dates shone through.

Another great read from Alys, she never lets me down.

Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for the book to write this review today.
