Michael Clark – Anger Is An Acid

‘Anger Is An Acid’ by Michael Clark is the final book in the Patience Of A Dead Man Trilogy. I have loved The Patience of a Dead Man and Dead Scorned, do I have to say, I was on pins to read this latest and final instalment! This book brings the intertwined stories of Tim Russell, Holly Burns and Mildred Wells to a head. This book is an all-action one, while the first ramped up the tension and the second filled us in with Mildred and her back story, this one is all go!

The residents of the house on Lancaster Hill are constantly threatened with violence as well as always worrying about the daughters of Tim.

Interestingly we get to have a peek at Mildred’s softer side in this book too. She has a great desire to mother Olivia and Vivian, but as they continue to remember their real mother we can only hope Mildred will keep her temper and not do as she did with her own son, Elmer and kill them both. A real twist to the angry woman we have seen soo far.
Andrew, who was introduced in the previous book, has now worked out what his late mother wants from him. He has to go to the aid of Holly and Tim and help them in their fight against Mildred too. He realises he has no chance of avoiding this and finds himself in some death-defying moments for his trouble. Poor lad, I really felt for him, trying to do what his mother wants and getting himself in the way of Mildred with all her power! Made for a cracking read though!!

This is one series that I shall really miss. Anger Is An Acid was a perfect third book in my opinion, fast-paced and so exciting throughout. I think I am going to miss Mildred, she definitely makes life a hell of a lot more interesting, for some anyway!

Many thanks to Damp Pebbles Blog Tours and Michael Clark for all the entertainment over the last few months and letting me be part of The Patience Of A Dead Man Trilogy Blog Tour! I loved the ride!
