Cheryl Butler – The Course Of Conviction

‘The Course of Conviction’ by Cheryl Butler is part of the Obsession Trilogy that begins with A Proclivity To Prurience, which is FREE at the moment on Amazon from the 15th to 19th September. This is the second book and my advice is, if you are at all tempted by these books, do start with the first one as The Course Of Conviction does pick back up where A Proclivity To Prurience ended.

The story is an intense, dark and pulls you straight into it. It envelops you to the point of just needing to keep on reading. This book deals with a lot of unfinished things from A Proclivity to Prurience and we learn a lot more about Abbie and Joe and why they act as they do. The story is just getting better as we go along with this Trilogy! No mean feat either, just read them, you will definitely understand.

I thought the psychological twists just absolutely topped off this book. I loved the writing, the emotions that she was able to bring out in me while reading this book! Everything, from anger all the way to love. I even felt sorry for one person after not even liking them in the first book. Powerful writing for sure.

Cheryl has managed to write a book with humour, heartbreak and well, great sex too. The chemistry is undeniable from Joe and Abbie and it almost makes the story. So yes, in my opinion, it is a highly recommended book if you enjoy books of this genre.
