Millie Kerr – The Adventures Of Ellie And Boo

‘The Adventures Of Ellie And Boo’ by Millie Kerr is a children’s book that teaches whoever reads it about conservation particularly about the badgers. Ellie is a University student, at Cambridge studying for her Master’s degree. She is a keen Conservationist who decides to adopt a cat, Boo, because she misses the big cats she studied when in Africa.

Ellie loves to be outside and exploring the countryside so she takes Boo and they go camping. While they are there, Boo finds out she can talk to the other animals and they tell her the things that scare them that people do. Boo knows that she needs to let Ellie know, but has to find a way to do that. The day she does is the day their adventure really kick starts.

As soon as I saw this book, I thought the cover was perfect. The length of the book is great, not too long for children to get bored. I think it is a charming story and a relevant one for today. It is an educational tale wrapped into a story that will hold a child’s attention. The fact that it is about a cat that can talk to other animals with trigger their imagination and they will want to know it all!

Many thanks to Rachel’s Random Resources and the author for a copy of the book to give my honest review.
