‘Mindworm’ by David Pollard is a shorter book, but with so much going on in it, it made for an intense read. A supernatural thriller with a main character we never find out the name of and a very different and interesting plot. He is a college librarian who witnesses the death of his only friend and from there it is quite the ride!
We meet a few characters along the way, Lieutenant Stride who is steadfast in his determination to catch the librarian, never letting go of the chase. I admired Stride for that and felt he was a great character. I really struggled to put this book down, it engaged me fully.
When I said this plot was different believe me I meant it! We spend our time in the librarian’s mind and it makes for a fascinating read. All in all a unique book, which showcases David Pollard’s skill as a writer.
