Sally Rigby – Ritual Demise

‘Ritual Demise’ by Sally Rigby is the seventh book in the Cavendish and Walker series. I have only read a couple of these books, but I love the partnership of these two women.

Sally Rigby

George Cavendish and Whitney Walker are a partnership akin to Cagney and Lacey. A police officer (Whitney) and a forensic psychologist (George), who met through work and have flourished from there. Cavendish is sometimes used by the police to help them narrow down the type of person they need to be looking for when they have a case on their hands.

Ritual Demise sees both women having problems, Cavendish with the press and Walker at work with a certain someone. They are on the trail of a killer who leaves his victims with their heads on a heraldic cushion. Yep, a weird one but as always they get stuck in and we see the brilliant partnership these women make. Total opposites but, boy, their banter and how they work together, make these books so enjoyable.

A book that is a well-paced story and not without the gory murders, so, if you love a crime series that’s not all fluff and dreams, these are for you too. I was so happy when Ritual Demise was going on tour, couldn’t wait to get my hands on it!

Thanks to Damp Pebbles for inviting me along on this brilliant books blog tour and the publisher for a copy of the book.
