Suzanne O’Leary – Memories Of Wild Rose Bay

‘Memories Of Wild Rose Bay’ by Suzanne O’Leary is a book you won’t want to put down. Kate arrives in Sandy Cove to take up her new job as a doctor. She has come to Sandy Cove to try to feel closer to her dad, whose passing has left her lost.

Suzanne O’Leary

Her dad came from here and she feels it may help her to be here. Kate immediately feels at home in the surgery and the village, feeling that this is where she should be. Kate hears about the local healer Cormac O’Shea and finds she really wants to know the man everyone says is a charmer.

She finally meets him and finds they are totally opposite in their ways of thinking how patients need treating, Kate is well organised in her ways and calm whereas Connor, is totally wild and passionate about his ancestors using the old Irish healing. We see the sparks fly between Kate and Connor but where will this end?

An absolutely exquisite book, my first Suzanne O’Leary story and I am so happy to say I can look forward to more of Sandy Cove. Suzanne skilfully weaves her storytelling together into a book that can make you laugh and cry. A brilliant feel-good story that I really needed. A story that grabs you and you can’t put it down. Kate is a character I just loved getting to know, her sadness about her dad and the need to be at Sandy Cove made me feel like giving her a big hug. So happy to say I will be returning to Sandy Cove again! Thanks to Bookouture-Books-On-Tour and Netgalley for the copy of the book.
