Geoffrey Gudgion – Draca

Draca by Geoffrey Gudgion is a tense, emotive and beautifully descriptive book.

Geoffrey Gudgion

Jack is suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, due to him serving in Afghanistan. He is mentally and emotionally scarred. His marriage is struggling and his relationship with his father is having a negative impact also. His grandfather Eddie passes away due to cancer and he has left Jack his pride and joy, Draca, an old sailing cutter. Jack decides to restore her. He meets George, the manager of the boatyard and she can see more than people know, as she was born with a caul. As time goes on she has really bad worries about Jack and Draca.

This story has weaved myth and magic alongside the darkness that comes with PTSD and the deep waves of grief that always tend to affect people after a major loss in their life
The author has created a thriller with many layers that I got lost in. An emotional but gripping read that keeps you wanting more and needing to discover what’s going to happen next. Thank you to Random Things Tour for giving me the opportunity to take part in this blog tour.

Draca was released by Unbound on 14th May. Coronavirus logistics issues may result in Amazon being temporarily out of stock of paperback copies until early June. During this period Unbound will accept orders directly and will ship free of UK postage via https://unbound.com/books/draca/
