The Happy Couple is a thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Will and Jo are a perfect couple, until the day he finishes his brew, goes out never to return.
Jo has no clue why he has just disappeared. She searches without success to find him for a year. Her friend suggests she does some house sitting to have a break. Jo is in the midst of doing some internet searches for a property when she is sure she sees pictures of her husband in a house! She is accepted as a house sitter for that house and she goes to house sit, while planning to do her own investigating while she is there. What will she find? Her mind is in turmoil as she arrives.
The story is a riveting, tense read and builds up with twists and scary turns for Jo until it comes to a shocking conclusion. Samantha has wove so many themes into the book, grief, secrecy, adultery and betrayal just to name a few and deals with them within the storyline too. It is a story that begs the question, how well do you know the person you live and sleep with?
