The Laird-Shaw family have it all, a thriving business that is set up by Stevie and Gavin, who have been friends from childhood and further solidified by Gavin’s sister, Eva marrying Stevie. They have the lot, health, love, happiness and by no means last wealth! Eva and Stevie’s daughter is a mental health advocate and is very social media led, using Instagram to help bring these issues to the fore. One day she receives a Facebook friend request and then everything changes. In the beginning they think it is just a troll, they are used to the odd ones, until things start unravelling and the facade of the perfect family begins to crack and we realise all is not what is seems!

The story smoothly moves back and forth, past and present to fully show exactly how far some people will go to protect family and those they love.It definitely makes me think once you got to the top, there’s only one way to go and thats down, and in this age of social media it is never pretty!

I raced through this book, loving the way the layers of the story just kept on building. So many twists and turns, just reminded me of real life and the secrets we keep ourselves. Thanks to Sarah Hardy of @BOTBSPublicity, Hera Books and Netgalley for allowing me to read this ARC.
