I am very proud to say I am kicking off Wes Markins #BitsaboutBooksBlogTour for his newest instalment in the Detective Yorke series “Rise Of The Rays”! This is the fourth book in the series and although I really thought it was a fabulous series and couldn’t get any better, I was proved SO wrong! This is really a series you need to read in order or the sub plots and back story in this book will not have much context for you.

After the events in ” The Silence Of Severance”, Michael Yorke has found himself demoted from his position of D.C.I and Emma Gardner has been promoted into his D.C.I position, basically! D.I Topham is on a self destuction path after a tragedy and Jake Pettman is having major problems on the domestic side. Paul Ray then decides to burn down the family farmhouse and this action alone has the team putting everything to one side to work on this case, as Paul has gone missing on top of it all. Paul was saved by Yorke a few years ago and since then Paul has been wrestling with his conscience, because he is a Ray. This has caused him great difficulties and made him quite a different person.
This is as dark and gory as the rest of the series! I loved it, and find the Rays have to be the most scary, horrible made up people ever! As I was the other three books, I could not stop reading it, time just disappeared!

Thanks for kicking off the tour and your fab review, Sharon x
